CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome)
CRPS, sometimes referred to as “Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy” is a nerve injury that results in severe pain. The symptoms of CRPS include a burning sensation, or a sharp, electrical-like radiating pain. CRPS can progress with time and is generally localized to an area of the body that has suffered a traumatic injury. Some sufferers of CRPS experience hyper-sensitivity to the affected area.
Some common symptoms and physical changes of CRPS include:
- Muscle Spasms
- Constant pain
- Stiff Joints
- Muscle Atrophy
- Decreased Mobility
- Increased or Decreased Nail & Hair Growth
- Skin Color Change
- Increased Sweating
- Temperature Shifts
- Swelling
